Kenwood eXcelon KDC X596 Car Player
I just got this for my Birthday this past week I love all the features on, but I especially love that I can hook up a USB Flashdrive to it and just play music The receiver reads the folder and each song in the folder ( Artist/Title) the sound of this unit is quite impressive it's a great upgrade from my CD Stock radio I had in my 2006 Toyota, my buddy installed it in 25 minutes with the kit and harness i got from Crutchfield, even the stock speakers sound better now. I love the EG sounds too for different types of music especially the setting called POWERFUL really brings up everything out sonically
It comes with a remote too which is a nice feature, if your looking for a car stereo with decent power ( it has 22 RMS ) and is pretty easy to use then this is the one for you!
I looked through hundreds of single din and double din options for my Toyota Corolla and I found exactly what I was looking for in this unit. I would have preferred to have an Alpine HU but unfortunately Alpine has gone mainstream with blue tooth connectivity and a lot of I-phone add ons. I just wanted a good head unit that has 3 RCA connections at 4v a piece and a good EQ. This product does not disappoint. It has a very customizable head unit and has the ability to change center, and quality frequencies on bass/mids. Treble has a few options but not as many as the latter. Price was right without all the extras I don't care about.

I replaced an older Kenwood head unit in my 2002 Olds Alero. The new Exelon fit perfect and I was able to use the exiting connections, so it was a 15 minute install.
BalasHapusI had an add-on HD unit on my old Kenwood head. The sound that comes out this new one is amazing and better! I have no amp and replace all of the factory speaker about 4 years ago with quality aftermarket ones and they still sound amazing. The main reason for replacing it was this one has an IPhone 4 and Pandora interface.
Kenwood has my vote and this head unit is great!
Great unit for the money, install was easy, sounds great 93 s blazer did not need antena extension, i would buy another kenwood unit ,now i want too upgrade speakers
BalasHapusi havent gotten this installed yet but i am looking forward too it and i got it at about 1/3 of the cost i had been quoted for it at a audio install shop
BalasHapusThis unit was a breeze to install in my 98 Toyota Sienna. The HD radio brings in the stations clena and clear. When it switches to analog you can tell in the signal, but its not an artificial transition. The only downside I have is the way it navigates folders on audio CDs. Its not very intuitive. The hardest part of the install was choosing what color I wanted the backlight to be.
BalasHapusMy first HD stereo and just amazing the difference from my old stereo. Just need to remender all the things it can do. Lots more stations and the sound is great. My CD's don't sound dull any more cant't say enough goog things about HD. It is the most for the money. Thanks kenwood
