Exact X Line SamSung Galaxy Clear
I'm waiting to see what comes out for cases as I hate the bulkiness of the "frame" type ones, so I bought this for interim use. The Exact(TM) X-Line TPU Case for SamSung Galaxy Note 8.0 Clear is inexpensive, quick and easy to apply or remove - to change micro SD cards, for example - but fits snugly with no risk of coming off unless you want it to. I don't feel it detracts from the looks of the device with any significance, but in addition to protection it makes my Note 8 more comfortable to hold - even as the case provides a bit of grip. I rather like the way the case gives the effect of a crystal bezel to my Note. If there was a way to put some kind of "smart cover" with this I would keep it as my permanent case, but I prefer a real, somewhat padded front cover of some sort and not just a thin scratch shield (not included), so the search is on.
I've also purchased an STM Blazer Padded Sleeve with Removable Carry Strap for iPad/Tablet (stm-214-029G-01) to use with the Note long term. It hasn't arrived, but if it's as nice as the STM Jacket D7 Padded Case for iPad mini, Nook, Fire, Galaxy and 7-inch Devices (DP-2138-1), Black/Green we picked up for hubby, it will be the perfect added protection (we have cats, so protective overkill is good).
As the previous reviewer stated, the opening around the USB port could be a little larger (at least for third party cables, seems fine with the OEM cable), but that's easy enough to remedy with scissors or (for neater edges) hole punch.
Nice contrast, all the cutouts are position properly, and it does a great job of making the tablet easier to grip. I'm enormously pleased with this purchase.

This case fits the galaxy note 8 like a glove, the cuts outs match all button, sensors, speakers, headphone jack, etc.
BalasHapusAlthough the charging port is a snug fit, charging the tablet was not a problem. This case offers great protection against scratches but the only thing that worries me is that if it falls it wont really protect it from the impact.
Overall this is a great case and would recommend the product.

This case fits snugly over the GN8 very well, has all the proper cut-outs that are all almost perfect (with one exception, see below) and the clear version looks very nice (and is actually clear and not off-white). It provides a little more grip than the otherwise slippery plastic back and makes me feel more comfortable setting it down on various surfaces. One issue I have with the GN8 is that the camera sticks out from the back which means if you lay the tablet on a solid surface and try to write with it, the device will rock back and forth from side to side as you write since the back is not totally flat. This case offers enough flat surface so that doesn't happen (or isn't as noticeable).
BalasHapusThe one issue I have had with the cover is that the power cut out is a little off making it a tough fit to charge the GN8 with the OEM charger that came with it. It requires some force to get in and I worry that it may damage the plug on the bottom so I may end up getting a different charger that fits without being forced against the case. Another thing I worry about is discoloration as many products of this type tend to get cloudy and lose their clear "color" over time. If this happens I'll be sure to amend this review but so far, everything is great. For the price, it's hard to ask for anything more and I'm extremely satisfied with this case.
