Levis Mens 550 Relaxed Jean
Before I ordered these jeans, I read several reviews claiming that the Levis products shipped by Amazon are of a lower standard (e.g. thinner material). I'm happy to report that is NOT the case for my recent order.
My sizing for jeans/pants is right on the border for a big and tall man. I can get some clothing that fits me in retail stores, but often I find many of the retail stores go up to 1 size too small for me, and I wind up having to go to a big and tall store (which sometimes has the opposite problem, because I am on the sizing border), and end up having to pay a premium price.
Amazon sent me a coupon for $20 off a $100 order, and on top of that, their prices were much better than the retail stores that don't have my size. I will likely by all my Levis jeans this way in the future. After all was said and done, I was able to pick up 4 pairs of Levis for just under $100 out of my pocket
I purchase alll my husband's clothing and I have a keen eye for quality. I purchased the stone washed jeans and the black ones, just for a change, and promptly returned them for the reliable black version. The other color did not compare in texture to the black 550's. I don't understand the reason, but they are thicker by far. i wash them inside out and the color stays true much longer than it takes to see visible wear and tear on the jeans. I purchased these not too long ago at a high end department store and they were exactly alike. I also got them for far less than the department store jeans. Buy them!

BalasHapusThe fit on these "relaxed" jeans is just that--relaxed but not loose. Compared to other manufacturers relaxed fit jeans, these are less full than you might expect. I find them to be something like a cross between the classic "regular" fit zipper fly 505, and the slightly wider thigh fit of the 501 button fly Levi's. In other words, they are somewhat fuller in the seat and thighs, but not much fuller in the waist. They are good looking, and have a slight taper to the leg. Because of the taper, they get pretty narrow near the ankle so you want to order your exact size--these are not jeans to roll up the cuffs

BalasHapusI'm a fairly simple shopper when it comes to clothes. I buy most of my pants from Sears, and those are always Levi 550s. They are, quite simply, the most appealing jeans I've worn, and I've been wearing them exclusively for about 5 years now. They don't tear that easily and they hold up for a long time if you take care of them and wash them on a regular basis. While it is true that some other brands, such as Lee, have somewhat softer material, I've always returned to these workhorses. I prefer black usually, which has the normal problem of fading to gray after a time, but they stay black for a respectably long time. Perfect for everyday situations. I really don't see a reason to wear any other jeans!
BalasHapusThis Jeans is one of the most comfortable jeans especially for fat people it reaches the waist which is perfect if you want to wear a dress shirt or a polo shirt that you need to put inside the jeans. When i wear these shirts with a 501 jeans the shirts keep going out of the jeans but the 550 eliminated this problem. I loved this jeans cut.
BalasHapusAFter searching for months in stores for a size 35 x 30 550 Levi's I found them here. With the free shipping, they were less than we used to get them for in dept stores. (when we could find them)
