I was skeptical when I first saw how cheap these subs were. I have had several systems in my life so I have a pretty good idea of what is decent and what is not. I got rid of my last system because I thought I didn't want bass anymore. Well I was wrong. So I was in the market for a system and since I am a stay at home dad now, money is an issue. So I was looking for something cheap in price but not poor in quality. HiFonics has always had a good rep so I didn't mind giving them a try. I am glad I did, these 12's really pound. These subs deliver tons of bass and I was pleasantly surprised. My only quibble is that bass could be tighter. It can get farty sounding at higher volumes. This is only a small concern. The subs are very light only like 9 pounds so you will think they won't hit hard but trust me they do. I honestly don't know how they can sell them so cheap and still make a profit. Anyway, HiFonics is the best budget sub you are gonna find so if you are on the fence about buying these I hope this review helps to sway you in the right direction. Also I have only had them hooked up for about two days now. If anything changes or if they blow up for any reason I will come back and amend the review but as of now I am super happy with my purchase.

One thing to remember for you guys that expected something softer and more supple--it takes time to get your leather the way you want it! It will ONLY wear in through months of actually wearing it! And take good care of it! Water-proof it immediately! It's NOT done at the factory! It will look like exactly what it is until it's worn in... a new leather jacket. It will smell of leather and like I said a couple times, it takes time for you to feel like it's a second skin! I have one I wear DAILY for the last couple years... it's a black leather with a few rips here and there (this leather is also FRAGILE! Don't take out the chainsaw wearing this thing!) and a few holes here and there, but it's like a second skin to me. I still get compliments on it whether I'm out at a club or wearing it to a wedding despite the few little cosmetic problems. They seem to add character, as far as I'm concerned, but I'm buying a new one tonight because my wife thinks I'm starting to look like a homeless guy!

Whatever you do, take care of it and remember to wear it every chance you get to wear it in--like a good pair of boots or shoes! And enjoy it! You're stylin' now and lookin' good!

Use this wiring harness with the 600-101 actuator to update your 95-2000 chevy truck to the newer style front axle shifter. The new 600-101 actuator shifts in a few seconds rather than waiting while the old thermal actuator struggles to shift. Here is a tip from another reviewer that I used also. You can easily connect the third brown wire (power source) to a terminal block located INSIDE your vehicle. It is down low by the parking brake pedal. Look for the lower middle terminal called DRK GRN. The middle wire of the three located on the DRK GRN male connector is powered from the 4 wheel drive circuit, which is the one you want. I drilled a small hole in the driver's side firewall, and then ran the wire along other wires on the driver's side and then around the front of the engine (in the red battery wire channel over the radiator) to the passenger side, along the frame which is where this wiring harness comes off the front axle. Use Dorman Gold plated Female disconnects part # 84547, 16-14 gauge to connect this wire to the terminal block inside the vehicle. These #84547 disconnects will fit on the middle spade of the DRK GRN plug at the bottom by the parking brake. Good luck and enjoy much faster/easier shifting into 4WD!

He communicated a real feel for the nuances of the music. Yes, his tempos were much faster than was common at the time or that was fashionable for Beethoven performances for two decades or so after his death. Toscanini took what he called an "objective" approach to the music, which seems to have meant among other things observing Beethoven's own tempo markings. Toscanini's reputation seems to have fallen after his death for such reasons.

But fashions change. The period instrument and "historically informed performance" movement that took off in the late 1970s or so eventually led to conductors again taking Beethoven's own tempo markings seriously and observing them in performance. New and influential recordings of the Beethoven symphony cycle were released including those of the British conductors John Eliot Gardiner and Roger Norrington. They proved that faster tempos restored a drive and thrill to the music that could get lost in more stately performances, some of which, in comparison, began sounding ponderous and dull.

As this Toscanini Beethoven cycle shows, Toscanini understood that decades earlier. And these performances are thrilling, as well as intelligent and insightful. Okay, i've been going back and forth about whether or not to spend the 180+ bucks on the cotton carrier or on a good alternative. Don't get me wrong, in life you truly get what you pay for. HOWEVER... My decision to get the Opteka was the best investment yet. I just recently bought it and I immediately put it through the wringer! Put my large body Mk IV 1D with a heavy 70-200 lens on the chest harness, and went about my day. Removing it, placing it back... then repeating that process for hours. ROCK SOLID. No back fatigue, no slippage. Sturdy, and comfortable. Then I took it out for an evening of shooting an event. I was able to were a blazer over top of it without bulky clogs of vest showing through (huge plus). The netted mesh type design kept my back and sides cool. The front part did cause me to sweat more than normal but c'mon... i'm toting about 7-9 pounds of equipment strapped to my chest AND i'm working so no complaints there!

Because of the slight turn to secure the camera on the inner tab lock mechanism, I was able to bend over to tie my shoes, pick up and set up my lighting equipment hands free of the camera, without having to remove my camera from my person.

One thing i'm keeping my eye on however is the little plastic tab that locks the camera in place. It looks as though that could potentially wear sooner than later causing a premature ejection of a camera. PLEASE DON'T MISTAKE THAT FOR FLIMSY! It's solid! Normal wear will happen. With practice and perfecting the removal and placement of camera, It will withstand several seasons of intense work. And for the price... even if I had to replace it within a year, it would have paid for itself many times over. So even two $40 Opteka carriers are less expensive than one cotton carrier and performs just the same.

So I conclude... This carrier is sturdy, well built, will allow you to shoot with some level of swag without looking like a total camera geek and it is well worth the money! And I rarely write reviews so to get me speaking on a product is big! Don't hesitate! GET IT! It's a very good investment!

The adhesive is strong and cannot be removed without using a thin wire which is the same method used to remove a broken windshield.
I placed the mirror in the top right corner of the rear view mirror and decided it needed to be in the lower right corner. It came off using the wire method and I thought I would need to use the second mirror in the package but the adhesive was still good so I am currently still using the first mirror though I ended up sticking it inside the car door and it works great in that position. I have a VW Jetta sport wagon but I would guess there are other vehicles where this method would work. In this position the large size is an advantage.
Defiantly glad I bought this item.

I picked up one of these trunks at a Bass Pro Shops black Friday promo for $30, and have been nothing short of pleased with the versatility of this box. You can't beat the quality for this price range, and the storage capacity is fantastic. I have so much gear packed in the first box, that I had to get more. I now own 4 of them and have all of my camping gear ready to go into the back of my truck whenever I head out of town.

These boxes are very lightweight but don't let that fool you as to their strength. I have over 50# of gear in a couple of these and they don't sag, bow out, or seem stressed in any way. The latches are very firm, which is comforting as I've had lids to other storage boxes come off when on the highway. These boxes are tough and lockable, which is great for gear you don't want the kids messing with. They stack nicely as well, and I can stack them 4 high in the garage and take up very little space.

JBL GTO628 6 5 Inch 2 Way Loudspeaker

After reading many reviews on these speakers, i decided to give them a chance. I have 4 of them mounted in the doors of a chevy blazer. They are being powered with 75 watts RMS power by a jl audio e6450 amp. I was concerned that would too much for them to handle, but they sound absolutely stellar all the way up to (and beyond) volumes that would cause hearing loss. All the while without any distortion. To the couple of people wrote reviews in which you seemed unsatisfied with the bass response---- these are 6.5 inch speakers, not subwoofers. In my opinion they sound great all the way down to frequencies that a 6.5 speaker should. If you want more bass consider adding a subwoofer.

That said, anyone buying these speakers who will be using a separate amplifier should consider using dynamat. My doors vibrate when the volume is turned up and it becomes very noticable when the speakers are playing notes with the resonate frequencies of the doors. With my windows up i can stand 100 feet from the car and clearly understand the vocals of a song.....thats how loud these are -which is why my next purchase is dynamat.

In summary, these speakers are awesome! Buy them! You will be glad you did.

Feel more like my favorite Cole Hahn loafers in 12 N. Difficult to find a quality shoe in Narrow. My old Sperrys started falling apart,but not bad after 15 years. These seem more comfortable and substantial. I read too many reviews about the newer Sperrys and their quality. Heard that Sebago makes an excellent shoe. Interior lining is all leather, as is the footbed. This is a step up from my Sperry Topsiders, but have the same "feel". Choice of Narrows in terms of color etc. in the Sebago Docksiders made me contact the company for a list of what they had available in a Narrow width. Very helpful. The Schooners have a little more support than my old topsiders ever did. Am just breaking them in now, with socks on, before going minimalist in them. So far so good. Different sole design from the Topsiders for those who will use them on boats. Don't seem to mar. So I have crossed the street after 30 years with Sperry and am now wearing my first Sebago's. Good thing I am not back on the Cape and having my friends accuse me of being a turn-coat. Now there is a place that has a rivalry over these brands that could make political party conflict pale in comparison. Not on a boat anymore. Just High Desert. And these are well-made shoes.
