A nice kit.

Blazer C6423 Trailer Light Kit 1

Blazer C6423 Trailer Light Kit 1

So, my buddy is a police officer and he lets me borrow his trailer to do dump runs and get landscaping supplies. The lights on the trailer have never worked and the lenses and housings are cracked, broken or missing. Now HE has always told me that I don't need the lights and not to worry about it, but after seeing someone pulled over on the road leading to the dump EVERY time I went, I realized that my buddy being a cop wont help me much getting out of a ticket.... so, for 25 bucks and about an hour of my time, I installed new lights, wiring and all, even put the side marker lights on! (which it never had before) All very easy to install, color for color on the stop/turn lights, and the side markers were just drilling a 1/4" hole for the bolt/nut attachment and a scotch lock connection (provided in kit). I have the proper crimper for adding the eyelet for the ground, but I think it can be done with just a pair of pliers if you are careful. All in all, this is good kit, all you need for a basic install. Very simple to do.

  1. I have a carrier attached to the trailer hitch on my 97 Buick. The carrier is for coolers or duffel bags etc. It does not have any lights and extends about 3 feet from the back of the car. I drive all around the country and you never know about weather or driving conditions. I didn't want somebody bumping into my rear because the directionals, tail and brake lights are largely obscured by stuff loaded on the carrier. I bought and mounted this set onto the carrier for greater visibility. They work fine and plugged into my 4 connector trailer light harness in the car.

  2. This is a great kit and is very complete. Only thing I would have done differently is buy it locally for less money...

  4. I purchased this kit to rewire an older 8-foot utility trailer. The installation went without any problem whatsoever. The instructions were clear and concise, and all of the hardware and connectors needed were included with the kit. The only thing I needed to purchase separately were some wire ties. I would highly recommend this kit. I have never rewired a trailer before, and was a little bit leery of tackling the job. The Blazer Trailer Light Kit made the task simple.

  5. Easy install . Did not use the connectors. I did it the old way and spiced and soldered the wires . Then cover with shrink tube . They are bright and look great .

  8. This is a great light set for utility trailers. The lights are easy to mount, grounded to the frame through the mounting bolts, so one less wire to run, and are very bright. The side marker lights are also bright and, also being grounded through the mounting bolt, can be mounted on the fenders to let oncoming traffic see the width of the trailer at night.

Everything you need is included; the lights, 28 feet of wiring harness, a vehicle pigtail in case you don't already have a 4-prong connector installed, clamps, splicers...even wire nuts. All you need to provide is a 1/4" drill bit to make the holes in the trailer frame for the mounting bolts.

Each light has a little over four inches of lead wire so you can hide the splice/wire nut under the frame or where ever is best to keep it secure.
