Bosch 22OE CA Clear Advantage Wiper
Like most people doing this review I thought "this has to cause cancer.... but I don't care, I've tried everything." Day 1..... Wet, and I mean soaked (as always) But it said it may take 2-3 days so I apply night two. Day 2: Wet. Day 3: Wet. Day 4: just damp... for the first half, then soaked again. However - Day 6 (I got two boxes to start) - I felt so confidently dry that I wore a light colored shirt and didn't even take a sweater with me to cover up. I used it every night for about a week and a half, then cut down to every other day. Now it's been almost three weeks and I just started using it once every three days.
I'm a nervous sweater and it doesn't take much to trigger a waterfall that takes hours to recover from. I had a mile panic attack at work a few days ago and although I got really warm, I stayed dry.
Let's talk about the irritation: LADIES! DO NOT APPLY AFTER HAVING JUST SHAVED! There should have been a warning for that. That was the only time I had "irritation." It does itch though - very badly. A strange tingly itch. But it's worth it and only last until you can block it out long enough to fall asleep.
Back to the cancer. It says to use non-aluminum deodorant with it if needed. I accompany it at night with Certain Dry (and on off nights) and regular deodorant in the morning. I'm sure eventually I'll ween off of it, but the Certain Dry with it at night helps kill the itch - a little.
The few who wrote reviews saying it didn't work, gave up after 3-4 days. It took almost a week for me, and I kept going because well, I had 16 pads to start with, might as well give it a shot.

The Bosch are a perfect replacement for the blades on my GMC Yukon (Silverado, Suburban, 1500, Blazer ETC). They go on easily and work better than the OEM.
BalasHapusInstalled easily and quickly. Leaves no streaks on the windshield and does not streak either. So far pleased with the performance. If my opinion changes I'll update the review. (so far a very dry fall).
BalasHapusI like the Bosch Clear Advantage arrangement as a quick and easy replacement for original wipers on the Honda Odessey. This configuration features a curved back with the rubber directly attached. It works great in rain. This new line is less expensive and geared for areas with rain. It is also an advantage to someone who is not planning to keep their vehicle a long time.
BalasHapusFor snow and ice where more rigidity and strength is required, I would definitely spend the extra money for the heavy duty, long lasting Bosch ICON line.
Overall a 5-star product. Instillation took longer for this blade than the one I installed on my other vehicle. This could be a User error. Once installed the performance was excellent. The blade clears the windshield completely. There is no deterioration to any parts of the product. I will update the performance once the weather gets icier.
BalasHapusI'm probably the only person who is celebrating the start of rain in Northern California - but it's been dry the past year, my water bill has been skyrocketing thanks to my garden, and I really hate having to wash my car all the time from the dust and pollen settling everywhere. With the lack of rain last year, my wipers were dried, cracked, and frankly pretty crappy. We replaced all the wipers on our cars with the Bosch wipers and were pleased to see that not only did they work - they worked well. It was so much easier to drive with clear windows versus streaky lined windows...now if only these wipers came in tinier sizes to wipe my glasses when I walked from the cold outdoors into a warm house. Highly recommended!
