Planet Audio BB650 6 5 Inch Glass Fiber
i bought these as cheap replacement's for my truck. I was not expecting much from a $35 set of speakers BUT the quality of them matches and in some cases surpasses the higher end stuff that is out there. they come with a external high/low filter one for each speaker, that mounts with doublesided tape. and the wires are long and have the ends put on them already. and for the door speakers their was enough wire to run right up to the radio.
and the sound is great running right off the headunit, and with it turned up loud their is NO distortion at all. i was simply amazed.
ON another note, the big bang series of speakers was designed to run off a external amp. but they run just fine without one, no complaints here at all.
i love them, and will be putting them in my other car now.
i bought the 6.5 2way and also the 5x7 2way, both perform great.
Currently have a pair of these in the rear deck of my civic along with the BB625 components in the doors. All powered by a MTX TN 400/4 4 channel pushing 45w rms per channel. They honestly get louder than I can stand to listen to them and I have had zero issues with them. They are keeping up with an Alpine Type R 1223D being driven by a RF R100-1D and not drowned out at all.
BalasHapusGive these a try, you'll be pleasantly surprised. I'll be running another set in my Camaro at 75w rms per channel- they should handle it just fine!
I bought the planet audio Big Bang650 6.5 inch 2 way speakers and put them in my blazer. They are very loud and very clean, the hi and low pass filters are awesome and mount easy. The silk cone feels and looks strong, High quality made materials for half the price they should be. I've had a planet audio 1600 watt mono amp for over two years it works great and puts out 1200 rms to my 12 inch rockford power hx2. Planet audio makes great products at half the price.
