Gorgeous, comfy, professional, lightweight. Couldn't ask for more.

Exofficio Womens Kizmet Traveler Sleeve

Exofficio Womens Kizmet Traveler Sleeve

We've been major fans of ExOfficio's underwear for several years. While their "intimates" are initially expensive, they're ideal for travel since they wash-and-dry in nanoseconds (or it seems that way). Plus after a decade we have been unable to actually wear out a single item; they wear like iron, but are as comfy as silk. So I decided to try out their other items -- and oh, I am glad I did.

This shirt is, quite simply, lovely. There are some clothing items you put on and you feel one-notch prettier, and this definitely did it for me. The fabric is deliciously soft, and it drapes in a flattering manner. I easily could wear this for a "dress up to see the client" meeting (it would look great under a suit jacket), but it fits in equally well with my usual t-shirt-and-jeans lifestyle. It's easy to wash, and dried in a snap; plus I'm not sure I could convince this fabric to wrinkle if I tried. So, obviously, it's perfect for packing when I _do_ go to see a client.

There's a small zippered pocket that's mostly unobtrusive. It's big enough to insert a credit card or room key, not big enough for a passport.

The ExOfficio marketing promises that the fabric wicks moisture are true, as I can attest from going out to lunch in 100+ degree heat. (Welcome to Phoenix.) The "granite" color shown in the Amazon photo is accurate although to me "granite" implies grey; I'd have labeled this color "mushroom." It's certainly a goes-with-anything neutral color.

This shirt is set to become a favorite. Recommended.

  2. Highly recommended. Purchased rosehip color Kizmet 3/4 sleeve and Camper style and ended up keeping both. Just ordered black 3/4 sleeve too. There is elegant shaping on the 3/4 style so it is really nice under a blazer. I love the professional length. Easy to wash and dries quickly with/without dryer. You could use a hairdryer to dry it on a trip. I did need to iron out a few fold-wrinkles from the packaging. Otherwise, good to go and go and go.

  3. This shirt is lovely. It's flattering, shimmering, and comfortable. In hot India climates, the weather doesn't feel as oppressive when I wear it. It layers well, but also stands alone. I have a whole wardrobe of comfortable travel clothing, but everything looks ... well, everything looks like comfortable travel clothing. This shirt actually looks very good. Go for it!

  5. This is the best travel shirt I have ever owned. The material is lightweight and it takes up very little room in your suitcase. It is virtually wrinkle free and you can hand wash and drip dry. It is somewhat form fitting so you don't feel like you a wearing something frumpy. I also wear it when I am not traveling because it is the perfect weight for warm or in between weather.

  6. It would probably be possible to go around the world with two of these shirts. You might not be a fashion icon, but the shirt is appropriate, comfortable, good-looking, and completely wrinkle free. Take along a few light scarves to dress it up a bit. I'm planning to buy another one before somehow it becomes unavailable. I recommend this shirt highly. Please don't buy them all up before I get the chance!

  7. Almost every time I review clothes it's prefaced with "I live in a hot, humid climate..." but it is so oppressively hot here in the summer that it's the first thing I think about when shopping for clothes. It is a challenge to keep your starch around here, everyone tends to wilt a little. This shirt is lightweight, doesn't wrinkle easily, and is easy to care for. That is a big winner for me. It's suitable for work or can be worn with jeans. It's true to size and slightly tailored at the waist.
