3M 39030 Performance Finish Synthetic
The 3M Performance Finish wax is really something else. I absolutely love it. I've been using it for about a year or so now. It leaves a soft and smooth feeling on the paint and beads up like you wouldn't believe and also lasts quite a while. I just recently waxed a good portion of my car with Mother's Carnuaba Cleaner wax and it actually did not bead at all. With this kind of wax, allowing it to dry and haze is required for it to work properly. I did just that, but the next time I washed my car, the water came off so slowly and in "sheets" rather than beads. So then I used my 3M... exactly what I was expecting. And this stuff doesn't need to haze one bit. If you do let it haze, it actually leaves some streaks behind. Just work one small section at a time, applying the wax and then pretty much immediately wiping it back off. It's that simple. Also, clay bar your car and then follow that with the 3M... like butter. This stuff is worth every penny. I just waxed my whole car with it the other day and I'm going to do the same thing next time I wash it. It can't hurt to protect the paint. I'll be buying this stuff again and again and hopefully other 3M products.

BalasHapusI have used 3M Performance Polish many times on my MB S430 and my Lexus LS430. Works equally well on dark and light colors. Has a terrific feel to it after application. No residue and is long lasting.
BalasHapusLet me give my female perspective on this stuff. I just purchased a 2012 Mercedes C Class Coupe; and yes it is black. The dealer told me "to keep your car looking Showroom new, you have to wax it". It was already super shiny; so there was no need for polishing.
BalasHapusWithin a week after getting the car home it rained a lot, and I was always wiping it down, and such. I have other cars, but I thought that since this one is the smaller, it should be quick to wash. After driving to work in the rain, and dirt, by the third rain I was fed up. So I applied this wax after reading the instructions very thoroughly; and the manufacturer states not to let it haze, for it will not be easy to remove the excess residue.
Love it! just wipe it on; and within the same swoop, wipe it off. The car now doesn't collect visible dust particles anymore. After it rains, mudd doesn't seem to stick to the surface of the car. It works so well as a repellent, I am going to use it on my wheels also, to keep the break dust down. I would love to just rinse off my wheels, when they get dirty in-between washes.
Invest in a bunch of microfiber towels in differnt sizes. 3M micro clothes work super.
Follow up: Feb 15, 2012...First 3M wax job was done the middle of November. After washing a minimum of 1.5 times a week, It's almost time for another wax job. This stuff is extremely impressive!!!
I HAD READ AN ARTICLE ON ONE OF THE CLASSIC CAR SITES ABOUT 3M PERFORMANCE FINISH AND DECIDED TO TRY IT. IT SAID JUST APPLY AND WIPE OFF .. NO WAITING TO HAZE!!

I EVEN TRIED IT OUT ON MY GARDEN TRACTOR AFTER I BUFFED IT OUT WITH POLISHING COMPOUND AND IT LOOKS LIKE A NEW TRACTOR. I APPLIED IT AND THEN USED MY BUFFER TO DO THE FINISH WORK. IT SHINES LIKE A MIRROR!!!
This is a good paint sealer. Its goes on and off extremely easy. I pay over [...] bucks a bottle for this stuff at the store, so the price this merchant is charging is really good.

Despite my lack of creativity for a title, I do like this product. Following their suggested procedure is relatively simple resulting in a durable shine that lasts through summer or winter conditions. People who like to admire water beading qualities of a wax or finishing sealant will enjoy this stuff. A little dab goes a long way so the cost is reasonable in the long run.
