Scosche Revopak4 4 Gauge Series Kit Silver
This 4 AWG amp power kit is the absolute best kit available! I can't even begin to state how pleased I am with this kit, I normally wouldn't care to write a review but am pushed to do so due to being 150% satisfied! Don't make the same mistake I made a go with a cheaper kit thinking that there is no reason to spend the extra $15 or so bucks! This kit is absolutely worth the money over the cheap kits out there. Not only are these cables true to gauge (the difference between this and some of the others is quite astounding) but its also fully oxygen free copper and not the cruddy copper clad aluminum you get with the cheap kits. Saying that, spending $100 on a top brand name kit is definitely not worth the price as this kit easily meets and more often exceeds the quality of the other more expensive ones available. The wire has a high quality case and is also very flexible and easy to snake through tight corners. Huge kudos for having it ready to go with the ring terminals already installed as well as having the fuse holder connected with rubber grommeting one each end. The power cable also has a mesh covering for the part that is inside the engine bay. Also, the RCA cables are very high quality as well and triple shielded and twisted. Unfortunately I couldn't use the grommet included due to the thicker heat shield in my 2500 truck but I am not worried about that. One note, the fuse that is included is a 120 amp fuse, so if your amp has a lower rating, I highly recommend purchasing one separately.
Overall, If your looking to get a 4 gauge wiring kit, this is the one to go with! You get way better quality than that of the cheap kits while not spending a super amount of money on top brand name kits (where your paying for the name alone, this kit is of higher quality than 99.9% of the others I've seen). HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Very happy with the package. It's real 4 gauge wire and plenty of length for wiring my 03 ram 2500. Only thing you have to buy extra is speaker wire, which is no problem. I recommend buying a spool of speaker wire anyway.

IT IS EXTREMELY THICK and is made of high quality metal. it supply's plenty of power to my amp. i accidentaly lost my fuse that came with it and the people at schose were kind enough to send me a replacment one but they were even nicer to send me TWO fuses!! also the telephone person isn't based out of India they are american and are extremely helpful. I highly recommend this!
BalasHapusA lot of wiring kits on the market lie about the wire gauge. You end up getting less wire and more insulation. NOT with Schosche. The wire is true gauge but also has a good amount of insulation. The power wire has an extra layer of insulation to protect the portion that goes from your battery to your firewall. They also provide a sealing grommet to prevent leaks through your firewall. Excellent product.

I picked up this 4-Gauge wiring kit from Amazon after shopping at my local car audio store and being turned off by the prices. This kit will do everything you need for half the cost that they charge you in the store. The quality of the wire used in this kit is very good, and just about the best I could ask for. Don't spend extra money on the other high end brand names when this kit from Scosche would do the job.
BalasHapusWhat I especially like about this kit is that it comes with everything you need and has the terminals already attached to one end of the 4 gauge wiring. The RCA cables are twisted pair which helps reduce interference from power sources and should help to eliminate alternator whine if you have it. But make sure you practice good car audio wiring techniques when you perform your install (i.e. run the RCA and speaker cables away from the power cable, and the car's power cables).
Tip for running cable through the firewall:
When running the power cables through the firewall, you can cut open a slit in the 4 gauge wire and thread a zip tie to the end of it. Tape it all up with electrical tape so there isn't anything sticking out. Then use silicone lubricant spray (available at your local hardware store, it dries easily and is not messy) and lube the wire and the zip tie. Push the zip tie through the the firewall grommet, and when it comes out of the other end pull the zip tie. You should be able to route the 4 gauge power cable through your car's stock firewall grommet without the need to use the grommet that is included with this kit. No need to drill a new hole in your firewall.
One more thing, this comes with a 120 AMP fuse. If you need something lower like a 60 AMP fuse, you can easily get one from Amazon for a couple of bucks. Just search for "60 Amp mini ANL fuse".
This was for my 8th professional audio installation. In previous installs I have always bought wires and cables separately but figured I'd give a kit a try. After failing in the price segment in local stores (100+ for a comparable kit) I decided to look on here for one. I'm really glad I did. The wires are true standard 4 gauge and of really high quality construction. I didn't care so much for the inline fuse holder so I attached my own instead. The gray for power and black for ground is nice and inconspicuous keeping attention away from the wires and more on the amp(s) and hardware. Overall, I am very satisfied with this kit and will consider it again for future installs depending on the layout.
