Works great

Scosche GM02B Mini Connector 1988 Up

Scosche GM02B Mini Connector 1988 Up

The Garmin Portable Friction Mount for Nuvi is very sturdy and attaches to my Garmin Nuvi 660 with no problem. The beanbag design is awesome and works better than my old rubber weighted dashboard mount that I had with my previous SteetPilot c340. With that mount the rubber legs started to get too pliable and didn't stay on my dash as firmly as it used to. My old mount sort of stayed on the dash but would jump around, slide a bit and one day when I made a very sharp fast turn, my c340 went flying onto the floor. With the Nuvi Beanbag Mount weighted design, there's no chance of this happening. The mount stays put and sits firmly on my dashboard even on bumpy roads and sharp turns.
This mount is great though I wish it was included with my Garmin Nuvi 660 instead of the windshield mount.

  1. ... before you install a car stereo.

I would like to find all the people who cut the factory harness off of a car to save the 10 bucks this costs and permanently remove their access to tools.

As previously posted, it is great to be able to wire this up in the living room out of the elements. I prefer to solder and heat shrink the wires, then give them a loop for strain relief, and bundle together. Clean, long lasting, and best of all...REVERSIBLE!

  2. Item Works perfectly on Pontiac Grand AM 1999. I always check Scosche Website to verify item will fit.

  3. It came fast, and it was exactly what I needed. The harness was a good length and each wire was even labeled. Excellent buy, and you'd be crazy to buy anything more expensive.

  4. it fit just right on my 1996 S-10 Blazer 4X4. I did not have to cut anything in order to put my aftermarket cd player in.

  5. I was quite nervous this wouldn't fit my car, online they say 1988 and up on GM vehicles. They fail to tell you that it is on select vehicles (sorry I don't know for sure that this will fit all 88 GM and up, when in doubt go to an actual store and match everything up same with dash kits [I speak from experience]). This fit on my 94 Buick LeSabre like a dream. Having this piece saved lots of frustration I'm sure. You can solder it right to the wires off your stereo harness, and you can do it inside! They are colored coated wires, very similar to my car but my blue wire had to hook to a more of a deep blue, and the orange with white stripe hooked to a plain orange one. But it would be had to really mess this up.

  6. This product worked very well in hooking up an aftermarket radio in a GMC 1500 series pickup. The wires are colored in the standard colors so matching them up was a ease. Even if the colors do not match the manufacturer labeled the wires and put the color coding on the package as a backup. I have been installing audio equipment for over a decade and I enjoy when the task is made easier with quality parts.

  7. You must use the wire adapter for your new car cd player. If you sell your car just unplug the new one and plug in the the old factory one.

  9. I used this GM Connector in my 1999 Chevy Tahoe and I was leery at first, because it claims GM from 1986 and up, but as advertised, it worked like a dream. If you've never used the vehicle connectors, they are awesome because you don't have to cut your vehicle harness out. The other great thing about using them is you don't have to be in the car, in a cramped space when you are using them. You can splice the wires from the connector to your stereo in your garage or anywhere else you have space. These are always the way to go when you put a new stereo in. Lastly, the wires were really easy to figure out. They ship it with a diagram, but it's also written right on the wire where it goes.
