about Money Blazer Arrogance ebook

To all those proud degree holders who have led their path so far either by compulsion or lack of apt exposure, this book is your chance to get yourself EDUCATED. If whole of your life you have bought what TV told you to, dressed what Bollywood/Cricket stars or society made you to, and thinks as school programmed you to, well, this book will push you to make a CHOICE. It will guide you to make a well informed decision by yourself.

Let me share an important lesson I have learned about life: the most efficient way to waste time is trying to re-invent the wheel. The author Krishna Kranthi, already gone through the process, shares his experience of the MBA journey in this book, which I think should be treated as a guide by the reader to create a better future for him/her self.

This book will helped me look at the same journey through three different angles as it has three completely different main characters. I am sure you will be able to match your personality with one of them, but will also learn from the ups and down of the other two characters.

When I started this book, I will be an honest I never expected such an intriguing start from a debut author. I got so involved in the story that I started predicting the next dialogue, next move, and sometimes the entire next chapter. Though I failed in all of my predictions, I just could not stop doing it. As the story unfolded itself in the following pages, I was totally enthralled in the flow of the story.

I was amazed to read such an artistic approach towards the mid-section of the book from a fellow engineer. You will realize the beauty of the art, when you will find yourself walking with the author as he takes you through the exciting trips he chooses to make. I think the author has made an excellent attempt to synergize art and science with the business in this book.

While you will enjoy the journey of three friends, the exciting trips, and other details of the MBA program, the most exciting part that helped set my mood right from the start was the Love story, the icing on the cake. The love story will inspire all those who are waiting for the right moment and especially those like me who are waiting for (waiting for the right moment) ;-)

I am soon going to start my MBA from one of top universities of US, and this book helped me not only choose the right school but also to set right expectations from the journey ahead. Anyone lost in the jungle of MBA options, this book will help you find the right MBA School that fits your personality and aspirations.

I hope my review helped you in some way to make the decision, I think the pricing is also very well set as it is under reach of a regular student. To all those (read engineers, I am one too) who think reading books are not their isshtyyyle, well trust me it's not a text book that will bore you or a guide/topper's notes that will fetch you right marks, it is an experience you will thank yourself to have undertaken.

It's the best investment of 150 rupees I have ever made in my life. I highly recommend you to read this book, if not for yourself, then to help those seeking guidance.

My Hearty Congratulations to Krishna for this masterpiece he calls, MBA is not about Money, Blazers, and Arrogance.

  1. When I first saw the title of this book, based ONLY on the title, I thought it would be a nonfiction justification for having an advanced degree. If I were his author mentor, I would suggest choosing a more emotionally compelling title that conveys the personal journey into finding purpose and meaning.

THis book is a cultural education as well as the story of a young man named Raventi who goes for a degree, So much of Raventi's education comes OUTSIDE the classroom as he embarks on a journey he never expected to have. He learns what life is like for so many in India.

The personal hero's journey Raventi experiences changes the way he looks at culture, education and life. He also faces a situation many people in the world do not when he faces the possibility of an arranged marriage.

This book starts off a bit slowly, but please stick with it, because it gets better and better.

  2. Book starts off on a funny note , then tracks the b school journey of the protagonist and you just dont want to put it down. All students can very well relate to the chaos, emotions and " that girl in my life" episode in their MBA lives. The role of professor Subodh is very well narrated. The experiences of students from their aspirations, career workshops, international immersion, Social experience are all very well written. I will give it a 5 out of 5.

  4. 'MBA is Not about Money, Blazer, Arrogance' exemplifies what an MBA education is all about and clears the myth that many people may have. The book caters not only to those who want pursue MBA but also to others as it seldom contains business jargons.

The story of a young man who wishes to pursue MBA without a concrete reason and in the process gains the real meaning, would certainly be of a great help for those sailing in the same boat. It gives a fair idea about how life at a B-school will be, what to expect and what not to.

The author conveys how a B-School like SPJIMR can transform a person into business ready leader for the country. Here, he subtly explains that the learning acquired during the MBA program along with activities such as interaction with NGOs and Spiritual enlightening sessions, need not transform a person into a mere money-earning machine but instead can turn him into a useful citizen serving the society.

Krishna Kranthi has made sure each scene is well connected, which is a very good sign for a budding author. I congratulate him on his first book, which I am pretty much sure is a big success. I wish him all the best for his future publications and looking forward to read more books from him.

PS: I would recommend this to my friends who are preparing to get into a B-school because it gives firsthand information of the rigors, challenges and of course the valuable learning they can expect during the journey.

  6. MBA is not about Money, Blazer, Arrogance is the memoir of an MBA candidate named Revant. He shares his year-long experience which includes his day to day routine, life with his friends, pursuit of his ideal woman, an observation of an education program called Vigyan Ashram, and a foreign exchange class in Germany. Along the way, he learns the real reason for obtaining an MBA (hence the title).

The book gives an excellent insight into the way the MBA program is run in India. Not only that, but it gives MBA candidates around the world a good idea of what earning an MBA is really all about.

The story flows well - especially with the added love interest of Revant. Readers who might not be keenly interested in the MBA aspect will still want to keep turning the pages to see if Revant eventually gets his girl.

MBA is not about Money, Blazer, Arrogance is a fascinating read and one I would recommend.

  7. I recommend this book for every individual who does not have any clarity on what MBA is all about. As a science graduate, this book helped me to have an overview of what to expect from the MBA program and how this learning can help change the society. In addition, what I liked the most about this book was that the character Revanth preferred to get into e-commerce, keeping society in mind so that they can be benefited out of it. Otherwise, most of the organizations have tendency of 'contributing towards society' after looking at the profits they made which is hardly a percent of it.

  8. MBA Is Not About Money, Blazer, Arrogance by Krishna Kranthi
is an excellent book which explains the value that an MBA adds
to a student's current knowledge, as well as perspective hiring
    companies.

Kranthi begins the adventure through the prism of a newly
registered student, Revant who begins an intensive MBA
program at S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR)
in Mumbai, India. The school is known for its superb
faculty, alumni, industry connections and special programs
    in areas like entrepreneurialship.

Revant and his fellow classmates, Mahesh and Pravin enter
upon a new world on the SPJIMR campus which has an
area for wildlife, one for meditation, a temple and the
    Institute itself.

The author conveys the value of an SPJIMR education
in preparing students to manage businesses at the highest
level under adversity. The standard courses in costing,
strategy, marketing and the decision sciences are taught
alongside coursework about the intellect, guts and
the role of intuition in business decisions. The overall
theme behind the education is to become a net contributor
to an organization or entrepreneurial start-up.

At the end of the program, students do intensive interviewing
with consulting firms and other parties who arrive on campus
to hire students graduating the program. MBA Is Not About Money,
Blazer, Arrogance by Krishna Kranthi is a very practical student
resource written to remind students of why they pursue an MBA
program. Ultimately, the degree program teaches students about
how to deliver significant value to perspective employers who hire
    students having the degree.
